PUBLIC SPEAKING COURSE OFFERS 2 CLUSTERS: TEENS AND TWEENS
TEEN CLUSTER ONLY for Summer 2021
Taught by Lynn Fay, MBA, Ed.S.
Students will have fun learning how to improve their public speaking skills and gaining more confidence in a comfortable and creative environment. The speech formats include the following: narrative, informative, and persuasive. It is important for young adults to realize, develop, and exercise this essential life skill. The instructor is an experienced public school administrator, veteran school teacher, and current college communication professor at a CT community college. This is a terrific opportunity for those who aren’t able to take public speaking in high school.
AGE: Rising 8th grader through high school
REQUIRED BOOK:
Public Speaking for Teens and Tweens
DATES AND TIMES: 4 weeks; 4 days per week
*Monday through Thursday, June 28-July 22
*July 5 session will be held on Friday, July 9
TIME: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
VIRTUAL PLATFORM: Zoom
Fee: $480 plus $8 workbook
STUDENT CAP: 12
Note: This course will run as long as a minimum of 3 participants enroll.
